On Thursday (June 20, 2024), Gal Golan, Head of Public Policy at Tachlit, participated in a panel on “The Lifeblood of Democracy,” which centered on the question of how to improve the functioning of the Knesset.
Changes to the Knesset’s regulations that would increase its effectiveness and oversight capabilities must engage both the opposition and coalition together, to avoid repeating what we experienced the last time changes were attempted. However, there is no magic solution.
The panel was held as part of the “Democracy Under Fire” conference, the annual conference of the Rubinstein Center at Reichman University.
