Dan is a Senior Research Associate at the Tachlith Institute. Dan also serves as a Senior Policy Advisor at the Herbert Kelman Institute for Conflict Transformation, where he focuses on cross-ideological work. Previously, Dan served as CEO of Commanders for Israel’s Security, a non-partisan movement comprising the vast majority of retired IDF commanders and their counterparts in the Mossad, Shin Bet, Police, and National Security Council working to promote separation from the Palestinians. Dan also served as an advisor at the Daniel Abraham Center for Middle East Peace in Washington, where he focused on the Israeli-Palestinian and Israeli-Syrian peace processes with special emphasis on the U.S. role.
Throughout his work, Dan has advised Israeli, Palestinian, American, European, and other decision-makers on issues related to the diplomatic process. Dan has participated in various Track II efforts related to these issues. Over the years, Dan has developed an extensive interactive map database enabling decision-makers to conduct precise and immediate analysis of territorial dynamics in the Israeli-Palestinian arena, including border proposals and land swaps.
